"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
I live in Steelville with my wife Elane and our four children, Alexander, Konnor, Xavier, and Chloe.
I was born and raised in Missouri, living all over the state before settling in Steelville. After graduating high school, I served in the US Navy for five years. All but the first eight months was spent aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy CV-67. I participated in Operation Southern Watch as part of two 6-month deployments to the Persian Gulf.
After being honorably discharged in 2000, I moved back to Missouri almost immediately. I began working at Brewer Science in Rolla and remained there until December 2014, working my way up to Inventory Manager. Along the way, I earned an Associate's Degree from East Central College and a Bachelor's Degree from Drury University, majoring in Organizational Leadership.
My family and I enjoy traveling, camping, visiting with family and friends, and going to the river. We go to as many St. Louis Cardinals and Blues games as we can. I also enjoy doing anything outdoors, hobby farming, keeping up with advancements in technology, and piddling in my shop on home improvement projects.
“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.”
